Recently, she received the Best Actress Award for Mientras duermo at the Noctámbulo Festival in Córdoba. She has also worked in the United States in shows for Nickelodeon TV.

Jennifer Rubio and Carmen Águila founded Thisability, an inclusive production company that promotes participatory and representative audiovisual content featuring people with disabilities. Their first short film, Bendito Herodes, co-produced with La Dalia Films, is currently in post-production and will premiere in 2026.

She has written and directed several short films, including XXL (2021), MENARCA (2021), and her latest work, REA (2025), produced by Treze Conzeta Films. He is a film director and screenwriter, graduated from ESCAC and the Master’s in Creative Documentary at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. His debut feature documentary, El Niño de Fuego (2021), received a Special Jury Mention at SEMINCI and was nominated for the Gaudí Awards. The film is currently available on Netflix and Disney+.

She is a director who explores the boundaries between reality and fiction, from Camille (Best Screenplay, Sitges, 2011) to the documentary The Jump! (IN-EDIT, 2014) and Minshara (D’A, 2022). Her work investigates the hybridization between documentary and artificial intelligence to recover family memories. She has explored AI bias in My Word (+ Rain Film Festival, 2023, CCCB-Barbican AI exhibition), a piece with international reach.

Carla Subirana is a film director, screenwriter, and university lecturer, specialized in innovative methodologies for creative labs such as LA LLAVOR and CAMINA TU IDEA. Her debut feature NEDAR (2008), which blends documentary and fiction, received international recognition and is studied at universities such as Harvard and Cardiff. With VOLAR (2012), nominated for the Gaudí Awards, she directed the first documentary ever filmed inside a Spanish military academy. Her short films KANIMAMBO (2012) and ATMA (2016) earned her jury mentions and awards at festivals such as Málaga and Fiver.
At the age of 50, she premiered SICA (2023), her first fiction feature, which screened at the Berlinale and the Málaga Film Festival. In parallel, she has led pioneering creative labs: ACCIÓ VIVER (2018), aimed at women filmmakers, and PUSH LAB (2024), focused on research and innovation in creative and cinematic development.

A journalist, audio describer and researcher of communication across different formats, she has been working in the field for twenty-five years. As an audio describer, she has written scripts for films, series, documentaries and programmes for cinemas, television and platforms such as Netflix, Movistar+, HBO, TVE, Apple TV, Telemadrid, Discovery Channel and Disney Plus. In recent years, she has received two ATRAE awards for Best Script for her work on the feature films Phantom Thread (directed by Paul Thomas Anderson) and Tenet (directed by Christopher Nolan).
She currently combines her work as an audio describer with the publication of books related to music and journalism, her role as a communication trainer and her writing as a playwright of audio fiction.

Marta is a translator by training and an audio describer by vocation. She holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Valladolid, and her love for languages led her to refine her German in Cologne, her English in Dublin and her Romanian in Bucharest.
After completing a Master’s in International Trade, she worked for over a decade in the industrial sector.
In 2013, she took a turn in her career and, as a freelance translator, focused on what truly inspires her: making cinema and art accessible to everyone.
Since then, she has specialised in audio description. She has collaborated on productions such as Money Heist, Berlin, Olympo and Splinter Cell.
In her day-to-day work, she not only transforms silence into words and fills in the gaps to make cinema and art accessible, but also strives to ensure that emotions and images can be experienced by all people, without exception.

Aida graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and specialised in biomedical translation. However, her passion for accessibility led her to work in audiovisual translation and accessibility for the past ten years, first as a project manager and now as a freelance translator.
Now, as the biologist she never became, every time she receives a project about animals she feels the universe wink at her, and it makes her instantly happy. She translates from English and Italian into Spanish and Catalan, and currently focuses mainly on audio description and subtitling.
She has audio described series such as Alice in Borderland, Sin medida, The Waterfront, Pangolin – Kulu’s Journey and, live, the stage play Gola.

Mara discovered her passion for translation as a teenager, with an EN>ES dictionary in one hand and Blur and Nirvana lyrics in the other. Years later, she co-founded a fansub group that became her gateway into a professional career spanning more than fifteen years in audiovisual subtitling. Since then, she has collaborated with festivals such as Sitges, CLAM, La GRAN Pantalla and the Arab and Mediterranean Film Festival of Catalonia, among others. She also co-organises the Walpurgis Queer Horror Film Festival, where she handles subtitling with special attention to non-binary and inclusive language.
When she’s not subtitling, you’ll find her surrounded by books and films, playing the piano, or diving into unconventional creative projects like cross-stitching or furniture restoration.

Sara is an audiovisual translator who works in information accessibility as a subtitler for the deaf in television, film and various live events, both in real time and pre-recorded. She also provides audio description and translates from English and French into Catalan and Spanish for subtitles, dubbing, documentaries and written texts. She teaches respeaking in the Audiovisual Translation Master’s programme at the UAB, which she also completed, in addition to holding degrees in Art History and Audiovisual Communication.
She is in love with London, passionate about art, music and culture in all their forms, and eager to keep learning new things every day. Some of the films she has translated and made accessible include Sirocco and the Kingdom of the Winds and Fox and Hare Save the Forest, and she also translated the book Un trayecto por los feminismos.

Sònia Llena has spent more than 20 years building bridges between languages. She is a professional translator working from French, Italian and English into her two mother tongues: Catalan and Spanish. She studied Translation and Interpreting at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, but her passion for lifelong learning pushed her to keep training in order to, as the saying goes, broaden her horizons. She holds a Postgraduate Degree in Translation and Technology, a Master’s in Audiovisual Translation and a Specialist Course in Cultural Accessibility.
With every project she takes on, she loves to think that she is helping that content—whether books, films or other materials—reach many people who otherwise would not be able to access it.
Her hobbies? Reading and continuing to make her dreams come true.
